Alex thinks that "the key focus on multiskills in schools at an early age (receiving skills, tracking, throwing, balance, agility) makes teaching tennis easier. All the skills needed for tennis can be seen in most other sports, that makes tennis an ideal sport to do." Skills4sports also works closely with Secondary schools, using the CLSA (community sports leaders award) and the LTA leaders students to help with coaching sessions as well as tournaments and fun days.

Alex Dunn is also an LTA Teacher Trainer, running courses throughout Northampton & the Midlands. This is aimed at primary and secondary school  teachers, generating interest and giving them skills, drills and ideas to run with large numbers of children.

Alex Dunn has worked with Regional and Nation tennis players both as a tennis coach and as a "Strength & Conditioning" coach.

With the focus on getting it right from the start Alex has coached several Mini Red, Orange and Green players to become county champions, as well as Aegon division winners.

With the strong relationship Alex has with Roade we have also managed to develop adult league tennis. Summer 2017 the club will now have 2 men's teams, 1 ladies and a mixed team.
